Question: After market head unit isn't turning on: 2003 Hyundai Tiburon?

Answer #1:

It has to be a fuse. That's really the only thing that makes sense.

It won't be the fuse on the head unit though. It will more than likely be one of the fuses under the dash (but all cars are different).

It wouldn't hurt to pull each fuse out, one by one, and check them all with a multimeter to make sure they read 0 ohms (or close). Just pull it out, test it and put it back in so they don't get mixed up.

I bet if you do this you will find a broken fuse :)

If it's not a fuse it'll be a real pain to find and it's auto-electrician time :(

Answer #2:

You just popped a fuse inside the car. Just look at your fuse panel diagram and look for the int. light or power locks fuse, if you can find it than pull each fuse out one at a time.

Answer #3:

How did you manage to have a light in the trunk if the battery was disconnected ?

You've blown a fuse somewhere for sure.. pull EACH of the fuses out and inspect them properly.
