Question #1:

How do I convince my girlfriend she is working to hard?

Ok so I'm 20 and my girlfriend is 19 and she works on her family owned major farming business and they have a bunch of events going on all the time, they have shops on the farm, etc.

She works in one of the shops there (the General Goods shop) and they make her work 54 hours a week!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every few nights they have to go down to what they call The Farmers Market and they sit out there for hours at a time. She only has one day off in the entire week (Tuesday), and yesterday she texted me after work telling me that her stomach was in sharp pains, and she was already at the hospital visiting her uncle and so I told her she should go down to the ER to get it checked out cause it could be serious and she said "my aunt told me the same thing but I'm fine" and she wouldn't go, so this morning she texted me and said she went to the ER at 3am because the pains got worse. She then had to be in at work at 7 and work till 2, she then had to go back and work from 4 till 9.
I've told her before this that she is too young to be working this hard and most people never work this much. But all she says is "I know" and I tell her she is going to work herself to death, etc. And all she ever says is "I know" and "I can't ask because its hard asking because its your family"
I tried convincing her not to go in today because since she just got dehydrated! But she still said the same thing.

So what should I say to her?
Ok "JimBob" did you not read what I said, she is obviously working to hard if she is starting to dehydrate!!! You need to learn to read my friend!

Question #2:

Spray on liquid stockings...! Have any of you used them?

I heard about this supposedly fabulous product from Japan which had taken the American markets by a storm. Apparently it is an aerosol spray (like a deo-spray) which you spray on your legs and it gives you such a finish which looks like you are wearing stockings/pantyhose/nylons (whatever you like to call it)

I recently ordered 10 packs from America (am in UK by the way) from a brand called Air Stocking in "natural" colour
Have you used this product?
How is the finish in the "natural" shade"?
Is it worth the while?

Thanks for your responses

Question #3:

What is THE best graphics card on the market?

For a budget of £500 ($700) for the graphics card.

And what processor is a good match for it?

I was thinking of getting the ATI Radeon HD 5850 with an AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4Ghz processor but I want something a little bit more powerful to eliminate lag completely in games like Modern Warfare II and Crysis.

Question #4:

Have you ever sold a house?? Wrong Section?

I know, wrong section, but, we all tend to ask the people we trust the most and that is here.

Have you ever sold a house? How many showing before you FINALLY got an offer? We have had our house on the market for 3.5 months and today will be our 9th showing, pretty good. But, no offers, never any bad comments though, our agent sends out a comment sheet.
The house is spotless and move in ready, we have shopped the comps in the area, we are really the nicest, cleanest house. We are priced perfect. The only houses cheaper in our neighborhood are 2 shortsales. Which 1 is only 5k cheaper and as you know that is a starting price, shortsales go up, where as dealing with a real person and not the bank we might go down.

Question #6:

If George W. Bush and Barack Obama were running against each other, who would you vote for?

Let's compare the two.

Bush:

--bailed out airlines after 9/11 (billions of dollars)
--invaded the wrong country, Iraq, which costs us thousands of servicemen and billions of dollars
--recklessly invaded Afghanistan with no plan or end in sight (billions of dollars here too)

--Came up with the idea to privatize Social Security right before the markets collapsed
--bailed out the banks
--bailed out the car companies
--bailed out the insurance companies
--ruined our international reputation
--took over four hundred days of vacation
--rarely gave press conferences (didn't answer anything when he did)

Obama:

--inherited two wars and the Great Recession (and a final deficit from Bush of over one trillion dollars; people forget that)
--has run up high deficits in his first two years
--has ended the Iraq War (or our combat in it)
--bought General Motors when it filed bankruptcy
--had banks pay back most of TARP
--is trying to hand over Afghnistan to the Afghanis
--passed Wall Street legislation
--passed controversial health care legislation that tries to cover everyone
--rarely gives press conferences

Question #10:

Would a realtor rent a house that is on the market for sale?

Ok stupid question I know. I am so uneducated when it comes to realty. There's this house I that like a lot, but I just do not have enough credit built up. The house has been on the market for a LONG TIME. Is there any possibility of the realtor to rent it to me for a certain amount a month, then have the option to buy when my credit is built up? I don't have bad credit, I just have never established any credit and am in the process of doing so.

Will I sound ridiculous if I ask the realtor about renting the property? Thank you for the kind advice.

Like I said, I have no idea about ANYTHING when it comes to realty so any suggestions are greatly appreciated :D

thank you everyone!

Question #11:

Where should we deport the Conservatives to, how about Somalia or Saudi Arabia?

Somalia for the fiscal Conservatives, then they can experience their true, unregulated, laissez-faire, free market freedom. No government in your way!

For the social Conservatives who are worried that women might be treated too well in Somalia, how about Saudi Arabia? Women there can't even legally drive, or leave the house unaccompanied by a male.

No darned 1st Amendment to get in your way there.
Lost, deport myself? Ouch, good one. You really got me.

Question #12:

After market head unit isn't turning on: 2003 Hyundai Tiburon?

OK, so earlier before the head unit had problems i was wiring some neon in my trunk and on accident touched a negative to a positive and the trunk light immediately cut off. I didn't think much of it and continue to hook up an amp and subs that I had just bought perfectly. I went to turn my car back on after connecting the power wire back to the battery, the head unit didn't cut on at all! I checked the fuse on the head unit and all the fuses under the steering wheel and engine bay; all of them looked perfect. I thought maybe that my head unit had blew but I hooked up a different one and there wasn't any power to it either. I then found out my lights in the interior didn't work any more either and neither did my automatic locks. I have no clue what to do! I really don't think the subs or amp have anything to do with this, I think the problem occurred when the negative and positive touched, but i cannot find anything different from before. I even changed the head unit fuse out just in case. Please someone help me out. I have an after market wiring harness as well but the head unit was working fine before. If you guys could lead me to fixing this problem I wouldn't mind sending you some cash through paypal. I just really need to fix this. Having no music is a bummer.

Question #13:

I am looking to get an iPad for high school. Should I, and if so what extra components will I need?

Okay so I'm fourteen and I'm going into a vocational technical high school, looking to either take Cullinary Arts or Computer Aided Design, Marketing is my fall-back. I need to get a laptop anyway to write papers and do shop work, but I was looking at the iPad and it looks like it may be able to replace the laptop idea. Now I'm not sure if my CAD instructor will give me a software for my computer, but I hope he/she doesn't, because my mom has a good year left in college and I can't take up space on her laptop with software. I hear that a keyboard and iWork are both recommended for long-term typing. Now if the shop I will take doesn't give you a software for computer design I will only need an iPad for typing papers and doing book reports and projects for school. I am also a musician, so if I get the iPad I will also use it to read sheet music via .pdf format and rest the ipad on the sheet music rest to save paper and instead read sheet music on the iPad, and also write my songs and manage and track my sells of singles and records on iTunes. So someone out there, please help me decide; laptop or iPad?

Question #15:

Do you think that those daily investors in the stock market are out of touch with reality?

****************************************…

The stock market has been acting like a roller coaster for the last few year, at times it looks bullish and all of a sudden, again, it looks bearish. Sometimes every other day it takes huge gains or huge loses.
I wouldn't doubt that many dealers are pulling their hair out sometimes trying to figure out what is going on.

What do you think?

Do you think there will be an economic collapse? When?

Question #16:

India vs Pakistan!!!?

Pakistan has enjoyed a 6% growth rate since 1947. Bharat had an anemic 3% growth rate derisively known as the Hindu growth rate for 50 of the past 60 years–the last decade not withstanding.

Bharat is one of the biggest debtor nations on the planet with debt from $250 billion to $3 trillion. 75% of Bharatis live on less than $2 per day. Most of the worlds poor make Bharat their home. 450 million Dalits, Untouchables and the like are slaves–half the population of Delhi, Mumbia, Kolkota, Benaras, Lucknow sleep on the sidewalk and the city charges them rent. When you get of the plane in Mumbai–people are defecating in the airport floor–and you guys talk about economic development.

In every human endeavor Pakistan is better or at par with Bharat. On one or two issues Bharat is slightly better. Pakistan was part of the most neglected and backward area of South Asia. The literacy rate in 1947 was 16%–today it is 65% and that of Indian Muslims still languishes at 26%. In 1947 Pakistan has one steel mill and one dilapidated textile mill and one non-functional university. Today Pakistan produces everything on the planet and exports planes–something that Bharat cannot do. It has 150 universities, some of the world class like Agha Khan University and GIST.

Those afflicted by Pakistanphobia cannot see this, and will never be able to see this.

Anti-Pakistanis will keep harping on the same old tunes taught to in Bharati KG classes.

Pakistan has more than 80 TV channels, most of them discussing news and issues. Pakistanis also get international and Bharati channels. They are very well aware of their neighborhood and about the West.

Bharatis do not get Pakistani channels and keep on repeating what was taught to them in the temple

Pakistan is a Nuclear power which can and will destroy Bharat if it tries to step one inch into Pakistani territory. Neither American sanctions, nor threats have changed the national consensus on resisting foreign occupation and Bharati infiltration into Afghanistan.

The information given about Pakistan is full of errors, and based on the Bharati media which only reports negative news about Pakistan

Let us look at 60 years not just this year. Some Bharatis have not heard of the Suez $20 billion deal which is on hold–it will be sorted out soon, possibly to another vendor

Turkey and Pakistan are building a $20 billion train line from Islamabad to Istanbul via Tehran linking all the countries to the EU. Pakistan and Tajikistan is building roads to link themselves to Uzbekistan with Russian help. Iran and Pakistan are building $7.5 billion Pipeline. This semester Pakistani Stock market was one of the best performing in the world. Pakistani stock provide a huge opportunity.

The US has not refused Civilian Nuclear deal. It cannot. It needs Pakistan. It will come, but may take a little time. Even the Bharati 123 has not been operationalized. Pakistan has been recognized as a Nuclear Power at the Summit. This is a first step…other things will follow.

The powerful Bharati lobby could not create sanctions on Pakistan or stop the KL bill or F-16s–its potency is a thing of the past. It is only the banya mentality that thinks that money is the only thing.

Wiki is not accepted as a reference even in KG schools in the US

In every human endeavor, Pakistan has either equaled, or surpassed Bharat. In a couple of areas that Bharat is better, it is only marginally better–this from a country which was the most backward part of South Asia in 1947 with only one dilapidated textile mill, one broken down jute mill and one non-functional university. today Pakistan manufactures everything, and exports K-8 planes and is exporting JF-17 Thunders. It is far ahead in missile and Nuclear technology than Bharat moving to Plutonium and 3rd strike capability.

Is that true at all? I am Indian and (bharat means India).?

I am really pissed off at the person who wrote this, a man named Moin Ansari, terrorist I think.

ESPECIALLY the parts that he says Pakistan makes everything world class? What do they make world class? i never see Pakistani tv's? Car's? Computers?

An the part when the bastard says has passed India in all endeavors? Hello, India has landed a rover on the Moon? Pakistan has launched a small communication satellite a little better than Sputnik?

Dam, its people like this guy who make me just take a gun, go to Pakistan and just assassinate their president, i am sick of these dam Pakistani's making their country look like heaven when we all know what it really is.......

When is Obama going to let the tanks roll into Pakistan hurry!!! I'll join army then.

Question #17:

best language to learn?

I am going to university next year to study Finance, Money and Banking, as I am aiming for a career in investments. I don't know exactly what I want to do within the sector just yet (will worry about that later!), but I know that competition for jobs is very high. I thought it may be a good idea to learn a language in order to make me more appealing to prospective employers, but am not sure which would be best. I was thinking of either Brazilian Portuguese or Chinese, as both of these countries have emerging markets and I don't think as many people will speak these languages as Spanish, German etc.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Question #18:

Honestly, how does the heat during the hottest months in Arizona affect you & the things you like/need to do?

My biggest concern about moving to Phoenix is the 116 degree days. You work. You go to school. You go to the market. You go the movies. You go to a ball game. Etc..etc..etc. How do you manage in such hell-a-cious heat? I am most likely going to move to Mesa, but never really experienced such heat. Should I be worried? Thank you people for your answers!

Question #19:

Why did Alan Greenspan say that the Iraq war was to protect oil interests?

He said in his book, The Age of Turbulence: Adventures in a New World:

“I am saddened that it is politically inconvenient to acknowledge what everyone knows: the Iraq war is largely about oil,” he says.

He later elaborated:

His main support for Hussein's ouster, though, was economically motivated. "If Saddam Hussein had been head of Iraq and there was no oil under those sands," Greenspan said, "our response to him would not have been as strong as it was in the first gulf war. And the second gulf war is an extension of the first. My view is that Saddam, looking over his 30-year history, very clearly was giving evidence of moving towards controlling the Straits of Hormuz, where there are 17, 18, 19 million barrels a day" passing through.

Greenspan said disruption of even 3 to 4 million barrels a day could translate into oil prices as high as $120 a barrel -- far above even the recent highs of $80 set last week -- and the loss of anything more would mean "chaos" to the global economy.

Given that, "I'm saying taking Saddam out was essential," he said. But he added that he was not implying that the war was an oil grab.

"No, no, no," he said. Getting rid of Hussein achieved the purpose of "making certain that the existing system [of oil markets] continues to work, frankly, until we find other [energy supplies], which ultimately we will."
